“KUNST SCHAFFT DEMOKRATIE”

For the state elections in Thüringen, Meet.Frida is sending a strong signal through art, a call for commitment to democracy and against the extreme right.

The “Kunst schafft Demokratie” project was launched by the Meet.Frida Foundation in cooperation with the Kunstfest Weimar to send a signal against the far right in the run-up to the state elections in Thüringen.

Billboards are being used throughout Thüringen to display art instead of advertising and to enter into a dialog with the population about democratic values. This art works in public spaces without hierarchy or fear of thresholds and involves direct interaction.
